Réseau Québec maritime Quebec Tour
Read the RQM tour report (in French only)
The Réseau Québec maritime (RQM) team invites you to participate to an interactive meeting and an information session during its Quebec tour this fall. On this occasion, the RQM will stop in Quebec City, Sept-Îles, Rimouski, Gaspé and Montreal. After meeting with the actors from the Magdalen Islands in September, the RQM is continuing its tour to reach members and encourage new partnerships while promoting intersectoral research linked to sustainable and responsible marine development issues. We will take advantage of these meetings to present the Odyssée Saint-Laurent research program, the various upcoming activities, as well as the new virtual research platform “Explore RQM”. It is also an opportunity for you to test the platform and share your comments and suggestions so that we can create a tool of public interest useful to the various maritime players.
Workshop on international scale research, training and innovation in the maritime field
The BioMarine Business Convention (BBC), to be held in Rimouski (Québec) from Oct. 1 to 3, will assemble political and business representatives, researchers and experts from governmental and non-governmental organizations. All participants will pool their efforts in the realms of collaboration, research and knowledge-sharing to develop innovative, practical, marketable solutions in the marine biotechnology sector.
In the context of this event, the Secrétariat aux affaires maritimes du Québec (SAM) and the Réseau Québec maritime (RQM) are organizing a research, training and innovation workshop bringing together leaders of internationally renowned research and academic institutions working in the maritime field.
The objectives of this workshop are to 1) concretely increase international collaboration between marine research institutions in research, education and innovation, and 2) discuss the means needed to set up a possible international concertation structure federating major institutions to coordinate strategic actions and innovative collaborative projects in research and training.
Symposium organised by the RQM as part of the Congress of ACFAS
« How to make Quebec a leading international maritime research player? »
This Symposium is an opportunity to discuss ways to promote, at the national and international levels, researchers and stakeholders of Quebec’s maritime sector. The discussions will help stimulate thoughts on conditions of scientific cooperation in an intersectoral research environment, on the operationalization and the implementation mechanisms of the intersectoriality and on the development of national and international initiatives in maritime research.

Living Lab Workshop
« Imagine our sharing and collaboration workspace ».
An opportunity to collectively prototype solutions that answer the question: “How could we ensure the sharing of information, data, expertise and infrastructures among RQM members in order to provide Quebec with a vision and an integrated and intersectoral approach to the challenges of sustainable maritime development? “.
